Accessibility Statement

Last updated 25 October 2026

We want the journal to be readable by everyone. This is where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

1. Our aim

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA on the website and to support Apple’s accessibility features in the app.

2. In the app

The app supports Dynamic Type (including a reading text-size control), VoiceOver labels, Dark Mode, Reduce Motion and high-contrast text.

3. On the website

Pages use semantic headings, descriptive image text where we know it, keyboard navigation and a light and dark colour scheme that follows your device.

4. Known limits

Some older articles have photographs without full descriptions, some embedded third-party content is outside our control, and a few documents (such as PDF interviews) may not be fully accessible. We are working through these.

5. Tell us

If you cannot use part of the journal, write to us with the page or screen and what went wrong. We will try to provide the content in another form and aim to reply within a few working days.
