The two-storey townhouse on the Tuileries by Necchi Architecture is a dichromatic sanctuary, gently enriched with details in a way that makes you feel calm. The elaborate visual density is created through the overlay and juxtaposition of forms. Shadows playing across the monochromatic volumes create a textured canvas for exquisite black and steel elements.
Chairs 212 by Petite Furniture recreate René Herbst's Sandows collection of 1929, standing beside the 1980s Cello lamp by Jan Wickelgren for IKEA. The integrated desk in front of the windows is accompanied by the Memmi lamp by Modenature.
The townhouse is not the only project designed by Charlotte Albert and Alexis Lamesta of Necchi Architecture. The Superior Loft on Oberkampf catches the eye from the very first second.
Provocative patterns, red colour, chrome, and mirrors immediately transport us to a joyful evening in a 1970s Parisian apartment. The interior is composed of accents that support each other's flamboyance, grounded by touches of black. You can almost see how the sunlight diffuses, moving from one corner of the room to another, hitting the lacquered surfaces and slipping past the sharp corners.
One of the most compelling qualities here is its unpredictability. You slightly turn your gaze and see a completely different scene, untouched by the perspective you just left.
I have an association between a pied-a-terre and a box of exquisite chocolates.One carries orange zest, another lemon cream; the next reveals rosemary, while another holds delicate notes of jasmine.
